Nikki + Ryan
A Carriage House Houston Wedding || College Station Wedding Photographer
The moment I met Nikki and Ryan I knew I wanted to 1) know them more and 2) shoot their wedding. They just radiate kindness, joy, and a love for Christ. They also radiate love for one another. Well, I sit here grateful beyond measure, because both of my wishes came true! I truly consider Nikki and Ryan dear friends of mine, and I shot their wedding! Which by the way, started with very heavy rain up until about 2 pm. Like hard core, Texas throwing a tantrum kind of rain. Yikes.
But guess what? Here's how the day ended:
Ah God is good! By 2 pm the rains had completely subsided. But even when it was pouring, you'd have never known. Nikki and Ryan had such sunny attitudes you'd have thought it was clear skies and 70 degrees outside. But rain or shine, from borrowed blue details to bubble exit their wedding day was stunning!
I wasn't kidding about the sunny attitude. See what I mean? ↓ ↓ ↓ ↓ ↓ Nikki was full of faith and just pumped to hang with her girls and marry her man!
Speaking of girls, this crew was amazing. So fun, so kind, so sweet. Spending time with Nikki and her girls as they prepped for the day was wonderful. And look how beautiful Nikki is writing her note to Ryan!!
Love these bridal suite details.
Nikki and Ryan did a gift exchange before the wedding, and Nikki's reaction to his gift is precious.
Just look at these sweet friends rejoicing at the sight of Nikki in her dress!
Then this just happened. I told you these were sweet girls!!
What a moment: a father (and brother!) seeing the bride for the first time in her dress!
Now time for some bridals!
Meanwhile, Ryan and his crew are hanging out at the other side of the venue, playing cards and getting ready!
How cute is this groom writing his note to Nikki outside alone on the porch?!
Nikki liked it.
Before long it was time to pray and head to the ceremony!!!
So, before these ceremony photos begin, I have to preface and say this was one of the most special ceremonies I've witnessed. Nikki and Ryan love Jesus passionately and opted to have a time of worship during the ceremony. I don't have a lot of words for how it felt in the room at that time, so I'll let photos speak for themselves. But to offer just a small notion, it was holy and beautiful! Also, all of Ryan's faces kill me!
One of my favorite photos: a sister looking at her brother as he's about to become a husband. And below, a mother of the bride looking at her soon to be son in law.
Ryan's face!! Just beyond elated to take Nikki as his wife.
My favorite: post ceremony bridal party PARTY!
This is a fun group of guys right here.
And of course major love for the ladies!
Nikki and Ryan decided not to do a first look on their wedding day, so after bridal party portraits and before the reception was the perfect time to give them some moments alone for these giddy, glow-y, happy just married photos!
Time to PARTY!! And I just have to say, the reception details and decor were out of this world beautiful!
Nikki and Ryan - you two are absolutely the most fantastic humans!! Thank you for choosing me to be your photographer!
I got so wrapped up in their beautiful day that I totally forgot to get a posed photo of the three of us, but my awesome 2nd shooter hubby grabbed this one for me which is probably a more accurate picture of what it's like to know Nikki and Ryan: even on their wedding day they are generous with their love and kindness and will take the time to laugh with you even during their wedding day portraits!
