This session got rescheduled due to rain and nasty weather, and it worked out beautifully! We played under a canopy of oak trees at a park in Cypress and I got to capture some special moments for this cute family with three fun, rambunctious boys. It was a treat for me and even though it was a little chilly, this family made it work! Thank you for having me, Piquet-Rodriguez family!
Oh, the Frankel family! I laughed a lot during this session. Their three chocolate labs tagged along, which miiight have brought a little bit of chaos, but a lot of laughter. :) This family doesn't take life too seriously, and it really lead to some fun moments and fun photos. It was a perfect day at Lick Creek Park in College Station getting to know this loving family and document this season of their lives!
Boys boys boys! These two cuties made this session so delightful. It is something of a gift to get to watch little boys play with their dad, and during this session I was so blessed with that. They got some happy posed family portraits, but more importantly they played with and interacted with one another in a free, joy-filled way which is always my favorite part of getting to photograph families. Thank you for having me, Childress family!
OKAY. This family filled my heart with joy. Family is not perfect (and goodness knows photoshoots aren't either) but love doesn't require perfection, and this family loves so well! Our session was unstructured and organic and that lead to the most endearing moments to capture. As they strolled through their backyard (which just happens to be a gorgeous golf course on a lake) I got to photograph them in their natural state, which included rolling in the grass, endless laughter and giggles, and dancing at sunset. And these twins, are you kidding me? I think the photos of him being so over the photoshoot are my favorite because seriously, I mean, that is the most imperfectly perfect moment and such a cute, funny memory! Thank you, Brin family, for sharing your beautiful family and this lovely evening with me!
Okay, this was a fun session. This family loves to dance. And we laughed non-stop and had an absolute blast traipsing around Waco looking for fun backgrounds (and Waco is a goldmine for backgrounds). Also, THEY LOVE TO DANCE. Honestly, could a family be more fun to hang out with?! The Walkers wanted to do something special because each of them was about to head off on a new adventure and they thought family portraits would be a great way to spend time with one another and remember this special season. I couldn't agree more! Also, did I mention that this family loves to dance?
This was a sweet September morning in Waco enjoying the Suspension Bridge and surrounding scenery. I went to school at Baylor so for me it was a treat to be back. And it was an EXTRA treat because I've known and loved Kelly for many years and it was so good to meet her cute family! Aren't their kids just beautiful? The second two photos are what happens when the toddler gets tired of posing and wants to investigate the lady with the camera. Two of my favorite shots of the session!
Talk about a good time! This family is the best. I don't think there was a time when we weren't laughing. The Kights love each other so much and it was such a blessing to get to spend an hour with them and document this special season for their family. Not to mention, the light was just gorgeous and you wouldn't even know that it was mid-August and we were all sweating like crazy. Such good sports and such sweet people!
I love being a lifestyle photographer because I get to work with family! Allie is my cousin and having them out to Camp Allen for their shoot was so dreamy (can you tell I'm a little behind on blogs - this shoot happened in the summer.. why is life so busy all the time!?) Is Annaleigh not the absolute CUTEST thing you've ever seen? She and Allie and Brent have the sweetest bonds and it was a delight to document this season for them!
It was such a delight to photograph this sweet family. I've known the Wier's for a long time and watching their daughter, Maddie, grow has been so cool. She's got the imagination of Walt Disney and all the whimsy of a real life forest fairy. She liked our location to shoot in Austin because she loves the peacocks there, and has been inspired by them before. So half-way through the shoot she changed into her ballerina outfit and danced in her own magical little world. Maddie, it's safe to say you out-shined the peacocks and inspired me beyond words!
The Day Family!! This group of 4 (Drew, Lauren, Eli, Grace, and we won't forget Cali!) has been a soft spot for Kenton and I in our transition to Navasota. They are the dearest friends, encouragers, and co-workers! Not only that, but Eli and Grace are the sweetest, brightest little hearts and they've made our lives all the merrier. We love this family and their exuberance, joy, and unending kindness!
