An Angel Springs Event Center Austin Fall Wedding
This is the wedding with all of the cute things!!!!!! I mean Dana and Thomas and all of the people who helped put this on really hit this one out of the park. There are so many precious details about this wedding that really send it over the top! From the gorgeous florals to the groom's floral tie (omg, amazing) to the bride's DOG (!!!), to the heirloom gown to the disposable camera, to the knocked out wedding reception, this Angel Springs Event Center wedding in Austin really has it all.
Also, the day was just one big dance party. Which obviously made the entire wedding day glow in a JOYFUL STUNNING FUN FANTASTIC WOOHOO THESE TWO ARE SO IN LOVE kind of happy alllllllllll day.
From the d r o p d e a d gorgeous details to the sparkler exit, this wedding was filled with exuberant hearts and sappy happy smiles all day. And not only that, but the whole day was just drenched in Jesus, too. Dana and Thomas have hearts for the Lord and the most amazing community around them, and getting to be in the thick of it on their wedding day was not only a honor but a blessing to me and my cutie cute second shooter hubby!
Can I just stop your scrolling to 1) prepare you to see the cutest bride ever and 2) to tell you that this dress is basically a member of the family! Dana's gown was not only in her mother's wedding, but also her sisters weddings too! How neat is that?!
After a few quiet moments all by herself, enjoying some bridal bliss, we invited her crew of INCREDIBLE LADIES to come out and oooh and awww over the dress and help with some final primping!
Meanwhile, over with the men, things were jovial and dapper as ever.
I just love every detail of Thomas's attire. That tie is uh-may-zing.
Thomas was so cute and pensive and I bet you can guess why... the FIRST LOOK was about to happen! And his face was everything a bride hopes to see when her groom lays eyes on her for the first time.
After a few moments with a handkerchief (ahem excuse me while I wipe away tears too because that was so sweet), it was time to take a few pre-ceremony bride and groom portraits together :)
But then it was time for the most rambunctious, happy, joyful, playful, pretty bridal party photos everrrrrr ever EVER yay.
Like how precious are these ladies?! Um, can I just be a bridesmaid with y'all and wear a pretty flower crown and a pretty dress and hold pretty flowers and just be gorgeous like you too?!!?!
But there's more to this crew than just good looks. THEY KNOW HOW TO GET DOWN.
I mean, what better way is there to celebrate their girl almost being married than a hyped up dance party with your best gals that climaxes in an epic rap solo by one of your bridesmaids? Ya there is no better way. This is the best way.
And not to be outdone by the ladies, the gentlemen had their own ways of celebrating.
Add the two groups together and you get an explosion of happy humans.
But now it's time for what we came here for! Let's get Thomas and Dana married, people!
Oh ya.. did I mention that Dana's family dog, Carson, was the ring bearer? If I could go back in time and bring one of my dogs to my wedding, I DEFINITELY WOULD HAVE. So tip for all you brides - if your venue will allow it (and your dog can handle it) this is such a fun, happy thing to do!!
Now it's really time to party!
Oh Carson, how I love you.
Another fun tip: Dana bought a disposable camera to take fun spontaneous photos throughout the day, and this by far has got to be the cutest!
Reception time! Break out the champagne and DJ lights!!!! Oh, and the Rosemary sprigs for the table settings, uh are you kidding me? I just have to say - Dana planned her wedding very shrewdly. Like all brides, she was on a budget, yet would you even know? Everything looks incredible! Just in the vein of florals, she made some smart choices to not only save money but use a portion of her budget wisely. All of the ceremony/reception florals are DIY (Can you even believe that? They look incredible!) but she also chose to invest in an amazing florist she loved for her bridal party florals. Which, if I may say, was such a wise way to utilize her budget. Why? Well, how many photos are those beautiful blooms in? Uhh, like ALL OF THEM! And they add so much whimsy to the photos! If your'e a bride and you are scrolling through this wedding thinking 'I don't have the budget for a beautiful wedding!' have no fear! There is soooo much you can do with your budget, whatever it is. This example of splitting DIY/professionally arranged flowers is a huge thing you can do in and of itself and makes a magnificent impact on your photos, yet also saves you money!
Oh, you knew that the dancing photos would be epic with these two.
Eeeeee! A sparkly exit!!! (*Tip - get the long sparklers! They burn slower and are safer because guests can hold them higher, which not only means more exit photos, but it also means no accidental burns to guests or your photographer who's walking backwards and can't see what's happening behind her :)
YAY DANA AND THOMAS!!!!
Okay, THIS WAS THE HAPPIEST DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And just before the bride and groom exit, I always try to grab a shot with my them! This time I only managed to find Dana because, well as we all saw, Thomas was busy BURNING UP the dance floor.
Sweet Dana and Thomas, it was an honor to capture your day and get to spend all that special time with you! Y'all are seriously amazing humans and I'm pumped to grow in friendship with you! THANK YOU for picking me to be your wedding photographer!!
And finally, I'm sharing just a couple behind the scenes shots from this INCREDIBLE day and also one big message as well. First, for the BTS moments: one from early in the day, designing flat-lays for the invitation suite and one from those epic field portraits!!! Give me a field anywhere and I'm a happy girl.
And now for the message....
THANK YOU TO MY SECOND SHOOTER HUBBY, KENTON! He's not only an incredible creative and fantastic coworker, but this guy also looks dang good with a camera bag and a big bouquet. :)
